Montessa is our amazing adventure kid; she will be turning five shortly after we depart for South America. Riding in our sidecar rig is one of her very favorite things, which comes as no surprise since she took her first sidecar ride at only four months old. Her tasks pre-departure are to work with me on our conversational Spanish skills and to keep us on task as we work hard to save money and prepare for the trip. When our trip is finally underway, Montessa will help us maintain focus on our true goals. Not goals like Ushuaia or Machu Picchu, but seeing the bigger world through her eyes. She won’t be quite old enough to start school, but she’ll be old enough to learn and benefit from this incredible experience.
